Distribution of Extension scolarships, by thematic área, at IF Sertão-PE in 2016 and 2017

This study presents the distribution of projects financed by the Institutional Program of Projects and Extension Scholarships, referring to the selections made by the Pro-Rectory of Extension and Culture of the IF Sertão-PE, through calls of 12/2016 and 47/2017. The objective is to evaluate the distribution of the projects through the eight thematic areas of extension, in order to observe the areas that need policies directed to be worked by the institution. For the accomplishment of this work a bibliographical and documentary research was done, as well as visits to Internet sites. The research aims to quantify the distribution of projects and has an exploratory nature, as it aims to identify the problem to propose a solution. It was noted that the extension scholarships are being distributed, especially in the areas of Technology and Production and Education, while the areas of Human Rights and Justice, Communication and Culture need intervention to be more covered. It is necessary to take into account the needs of the locality and the panorama of investments already made in the different areas.
